    An insight into the manufacturing process…

    Straight from the mould, iron castings are too hard to work, so they undergo an extended anneal of around 80 hours, then cool slowly to transform the carbon structure for improved toughness and malleability. After fettling to remove flash, components are assembled and protected against rust. A durable, two-coat, oven-cured paint system is applied before final assembly, inspection, and careful packaging for despatch.
