Iron Door Hinges
An iron door hinge front adds both decorative flair and authentic character to any door. Our iron door hinges are crafted in the UK from traditional cast iron, offering the perfect balance of solidity and heritage styling. Available in rich black iron and soft pewter iron finishes, this decorative hinge front brings tactile presence to every entryway.
Although referred to as a “hinge front,” this piece operates as a stylish surface application—providing the visual appeal of a full butt hinge without any functional weight-bearing. It’s perfect for achieving rustic charm or period-accurate detailing on doors, gates, cupboard fronts, or furniture without complex fitting.
The classic cast iron material ensures that textures and finishes age gracefully, showing subtle highlights and depth over time rather than wearing thin. The black iron hinge delivers bold contrast and rustic elegance, whereas pewter iron introduces a softer, silvery tone for reflective sophistication.
With straightforward installation—typically affixed with matching screws—this hinge front delivers decorative impact with minimal effort. It brings cohesion when matched with other ironmongery accessories such as door knobs, handles, knockers, stays, or numerals.
Ideal for heritage restorations, country cottages, or contemporary designs with historic sensibility, this iron door hinge creates visual weight and architectural resonance. If you’d like guidance on selecting complementary finishes or coordinating your iron fittings throughout your project, our knowledgeable team is ready to assist.

An insight into the manufacturing process…
Our UK-made castings are heat-treated for over three days to relieve brittleness, then slow-cooled to achieve a workable, malleable structure. Components are fettled to remove flash, accurately assembled, and protected with a rust-inhibiting base. A durable, oven-cured two-coat paint system is applied before final assembly, rigorous inspection, and careful packing for prompt despatch.
