Iron house door letters are a distinctive way to add personality, clarity, and elegance to your home’s frontage. Our iron house letters (2 inch) are meticulously crafted from cast iron in the UK, then hand-finished in two beautiful tones—classic black iron and refined pewter iron—offering both rich contrast and soft sophistication.
Each letter captures character in its weight and texture—reflecting timeless ironmongery traditions. The black iron house letters provide bold visual definition, ideal for creating high-contrast signage against lighter door or wall surfaces. In contrast, the pewter iron house letters present an understated elegance, suited to muted tones and harmonious architectural palettes.
Durability is assured: cast iron is naturally resilient, and the kiln-cured finishes endure daily exposure while developing subtle patina over time. These qualities ensure your door letters look authentic from day one—and more charming with age.
At just 2 inches high, these letters may be modest in size, but they deliver a strong stylistic statement. Their solid feel and precise design suit a range of architectural styles—from period terraces to modern heritage-inspired dwellings. Clear installation makes them a simple yet sophisticated way to personalise your entryway.
If you’re seeking cast iron door letters that combine traditional quality with modern aesthetics, these iron door letters are an ideal choice. Whether you prefer high-contrast black or soft pewter, these letters offer lasting charm and character.

An insight into the manufacturing process…
After casting, components undergo prolonged heat conditioning to relieve brittleness and improve workability. They are then slowly cooled to refine the iron’s carbon structure, producing a tougher, more malleable substrate. Sharp edges are dressed, assemblies checked, and a high-grade rust-inhibiting base is applied. A two-stage, oven-cured paint system follows, before final assembly, inspection and careful packaging in our UK facility.
